History is cool again, and the Medicine Mound Museum is one of the coolest places to peer into our recent past. Since most former residents have passed on, it is sometimes difficult to identify the folks in the photos that are donated to our organization. An old photo is discovered, perhaps, in a shoe box or photo album. The owner of the photo usually has an idea of who is represented in the picture, but sometimes it is a mystery. In the scene above, four women pose on the old Pease River bridge, yet no one seems to know for certain just who these women really are ! Judging by the period dress, we can guess the photo was taken in the late 1920's or early 1930's, but that's simply a guess. If you can help identify these gals, please contact us with the info and help solve this mystery. Yes, history is sometimes a mystery, but it is our duty to preserve it as best we can. You can help us "preserve Texas history through education" by supporting the Medicine Mound Museum........
